The Silly Yak, a 100% gluten free concessionaire specializing in recreating traditional carnival foods. Founded in 2023 by Michael and Rachael Krupski, our goal is to bring back a staple summer experience for individuals with Celiac Disease and others following a gluten-free diet.

We are a 100% gluten-free establishment. Each ingredient has been carefully sourced from trusted manufacturers to ensure that each component is gluten-free. Since we’re a dedicated stand, there’s also no risk of cross contamination! Living with Celiac, we know it can sometimes feel exhausting to wonder if eating out is actually safe. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about our process, but our goal is to make you feel comfortable enough not to want to!

Hi! We're Michael and Rachael, a Buffalo born and raised couple. In 2021, Rachael was suddenly diagnosed with Celiac Disease, news that turned our lives upside down. We never realized how much our lives revolved around food - whether it's a family get together, a quick bite to eat, or even attending events - we found ourselves questioning: can Rachael eat here? One of the tougher experiences we had that first year was attending our local county fair. Deep fried Oreos, funnel cakes, and deep fried tacos were now a thing of the past. We found ourselves wondering, is there a way to recreate any of these dishes, but make them Celiac safe? So, we spent the past 2 years working to answer this question, and that's how The Silly Yak was born. We're so excited to be able to bring this gluten-free experience to our community.
